(Dan Tri) – Hungarian officials say that the solutions that Europe is trying to find to resolve the crisis in Ukraine are ineffective.

In an interview with SVT TV channel, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on March 6 that the Russia-Ukraine conflict can only end through a ceasefire.
`The first goal is to stop the loss of life, which means there must be a ceasefire agreement and nothing more than that,` Mr. Szijjarto said.
According to the Hungarian diplomat, European Union (EU) sanctions cannot prevent conflict.
`We have put in place 10 sanctions packages. Does that bring us closer to a solution (to the conflict)? No. Does that bring Russia to its knees? No. Does that bring Russia to its knees?
When asked why Hungary did not transfer weapons to Ukraine, Foreign Minister Szijjarto said: `We are a neighboring country to Ukraine and we do not want more people to die. Therefore, we are trying to prevent this.`
German Prime Minister Olaf Scholz also announced on March 5 that Russia needs to understand that its military campaign will not be successful and Russia will have to withdraw its troops from Ukraine.
Mr. Scholz also said that the Ukrainian side has made a proposal and is `ready to negotiate`, the issue now is whether Russia accepts and is ready to proceed to peace talks or not.
Mr. Trump claimed he could end the conflict in 24 hours
At the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland on March 4, former US President Donald Trump said he was `the only US president in decades who has not launched a war`.
Mr. Trump said that, if he were the owner of the White House, `Ukraine would be prosperous, there would be no deaths, no city would be destroyed that could never be rebuilt.`
Last month, Mr. Trump announced that he would immediately call the leaders of Russia and Ukraine if he was re-elected president.
`I know what to say,` Mr. Trump repeated in his speech on March 4.
Mr. Trump also criticized current President Joe Biden for wasting billions of dollars of American taxpayers’ money instead of forcing Washington’s European allies to fund Ukraine.
Mr. Trump warned Americans that they were facing `the most dangerous period in our country’s history and Mr. Joe Biden is making us sink into oblivion.`
`I am the only (presidential) candidate who can make this promise: I will prevent World War III,` Mr. Trump emphasized.
